Our Leadership Team
Doug Brooks
Unlike others on the team, Doug didn’t begin his career in the wellness industry. In fact, he went to great lengths to avoid anything related to wellness—a challenge when married to Erin! However, in 2012, his wife’s desire for him to be healthy eventually won out over his tendency to remain tired and unmotivated. This prompted him to embark on his own health journey, during which he lost over 80 pounds. Inspired to help others achieve similar transformations, Doug left a stable career as an investment broker to co-own a gym with Erin.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA with an emphasis in manufacturing operations from Indiana Wesleyan University, bringing a unique blend of experience and education rarely found in the corporate wellness field.
As a business professional, Doug specializes in helping clients navigate and balance wellness goals with essential operational objectives, playing a key role in achieving tangible results through wellness initiatives. He supports companies in creating wellness programs that provide immediate, measurable value.. He has pioneered new approaches in corporate communications by integrating innovative technologies to connect with employees on a personal level, leading to participation rates eight times higher than industry averages.
In his free time, Doug enjoys running in the woods, is an accomplished musician, and loves attending his daughter’s sporting events. You can often find him either in front of a computer or making sure Erin’s phone is charged!

Tom’s passion for health and human performance has been a constant in his life—long before it became his career. While he built his career in Meical Device product management, new product development, and enterprise software, he was simultaneously investing years into studying and applying principles of human optimization and becoming a certified nutrition coach on his own time.
Eventually, that passion for wellness became too strong to ignore, and Tom made the decision to fully pursue what drives him most: helping others unlock their potential. He’s deeply motivated by the idea that we have more control over how we feel, think, and perform than most people realize—and he loves watching that realization click for someone, because it often changes everything.
As Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships at Brooks Corporate Wellness, Tom focuses on driving real behavior change and measurable ROI for clients. He works closely with organizations to integrate wellness into the workday—so it actually reaches people, improves lives, and delivers meaningful business outcomes.
What Tom enjoys most is seeing progress at every level—from someone simply feeling better at the end of a long shift to major transformations in strength, confidence, and overall health. He believes those small wins are often the catalyst for much bigger change for both individuals and the organizations they are a part of.
Originally from Versailles, Ohio, Tom now lives in Troy with his wife and two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family & friends, strength training, golfing, hiking, kayaking, playing music, playing pickup basketball, and spending time outdoors—whether that’s in the woods, throwing a football or frisbee, or competing in obstacle race events like Spartan races and Tough Mudders.
Maria's passion for helping others began in high school, inspiring her to earn a degree in Exercise Science. She holds certifications from NCCPT and CrossFit Level 1, and serves as a Birth fit leader for pregnant and postpartum athletes. Additionally, Maria is a certified stretching and flexibility coach, which is incredibly valuable for enhancing the movement and well-being of our industrial athletes. A former college basketball player, Maria loves working out with her two kids, truly practicing what she preaches.
What she enjoys most about being a personal trainer is celebrating both small wins and significant achievements. She's just as thrilled to see someone accomplish their first push-up on their toes as she is to witness them lose the ten pounds they aimed for. You’ll rarely catch her without a smile, and her infectious ability to inspire others shines through in every session. Her favorite quote is, "Movement is medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states."
You can often find Maria with her dogs, her kids, or out and about with her husband, Justin. No matter where she is, you can bet a foam roller and a barbell will be close by!
